I am making this thread to impart myself about the Shaikhs. Indeed, you all have heard about Shaikhs of Dubai, Shaikhs of Saudi Arabia, Shaikhs of India, Shaikhs of Punjab and Shaikhs of Sindh, many other that did not reach our ears, so let us discover more about this caste.

Where your family comes from? What do you own as a Shaikh? Are you Proud to be a Shaikh? Let's start this with me.

I will assert what I have been bestowed as the knowledge of my caste by my father. So, I come from the Quetta side Shaikhs, where they have the brightest name. In Quetta or today Balochistan, the Shaikhs are known as syeds (Syed: the most respectful caste in my country). Syed in arabic means Mister, and they are called syeds for they fed the Balochistan or the side of Balochistan in the time of drought and famine.

I was told that the Sindhis Shaikhs belong Raheja caste in Hinduism, so am a Raheja if I were a Hindu. Naveeda Raheja, does it not sound bad? It sounds very cool.

I am proud of my grandfather, he brought up his sons and made their life very prosperous. He made them study, and his sons entered the fields of engineering and medical. His last became a teacher, and his daughters are also earning for themselves, and leading a decent life.
