Well, since you ask and with the risk of having rotten tomatoes throwing at me i will tell you my oppinion. I will say Jesus because i believe that he was a real historical person who struggled and sacrified himself to reform the society and therefore became a threat for those in power. The rest is just fiction...

I do not believe in  God but I do believe that we are affected by some higher force and yes...life is a miracle - i just find it too simple to limit this miracle to an old fairy tail, I think the process is much more powerful than that.

I believe the christian bible is just a collection of stories to help people live better and give guidance, like don't steal, don't kill etc. I do believe there is some truth in the bible like Pontius Pilate. It is accepted he was a real person, and he in the bible. So it is impossible to say every detail in the bible is fiction, because such as Pilate it is impossible to say that. Pilate existed, but Jesus appearing before him that's another story. Maybe he did, but who Jesus really was, and the "miracles" he did that's another story. Just don't buy into it.

I also believe it is impossible to say everything in the bible is 100 percent accurate, even if you are a believer. What would be an accurate guess on how many years before certain things were written down? Take the Exodus from Israel. There is no way they escaped and sat down and recorded everything that had happened. Some time had to have gone by after everything was over. Some time that would make it impossible for every detail to be accurate. Think about some big event in your life. Now tell me every detail about it. It's impossible. Now if one story is inaccurate in the bible, than that puts every other story into question.

well, I did not mean that everything that is written in the Bible is pure fiction only the profane parts like Jesus resurrection which is a key element of Christian faith. I am also pretty sure that a lot of the stories are built on true events.

I see. Maybe they are based on true events, but not events of Christianity or Judaism. I do believe some of the stories are based off of stories that were already in use by other religions

Not trying to knock anyone's faith, by any means. Just want to make that clear, just having a healthy discussion.

Apselut! A clear and healthy discussion is what we want to have and I hope I haven't offended anyone either.

It's only a fact fact that I do not believe in God. I only go to church by special events like wedding or funerals. I went through a Confirmation when i was 14 and I've baptised my kids, which can seem hypocritical but for me it's more of a tradition than a confession to God.

It's the same with Christmas and Easter. I celebrate these feasts, since it's a tradition -  just like Midsummer and New Year.

Jesus is God

Jhn 1:1     ΒΆ     In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Jhn 20:28           And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Jhn 20:29           Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed.
