I know Jimmy didn't delete the whole goddamn thread for one god damn picture! He's smart enough to delete the one picture, and has done so in the past. Who is the **** that came into a forum that was NOT theirs, and deleted a long running thread (dozens of pages long) for one picture infraction??

You don't delete the whole thread, you delete the offending god damned post! Better yet, email Jimmy who is OUR MOD HERE and let him take care of the offender.

I come across harsh, so let me clarify what I mean here...many of us contributed funny things we found randomly to this thread. It's not cool that the whole thing was deleted by a random mod and that is really not the way to keep your regs (who hadn't broken the rules btw).There were dozens of pages in that thread, and I'm sure a lot of us in the metal forum check the forum to see/add to it. Any mod should only be deleting the specific posts, and if they don't want to have to go through more than a page or two to do it they shouldn't be a mod then, because that's part of what you're supposed to do. Because ultimately, threads like that are the backbone of a forum, they give the core group something to do there, whether or not they actually have anything to say. You delete threads like that on us, we won't contribute to them anymore. Then the traffic drops because we still don't have anything new to say, and then new users aren't as tempted to post because there isn't enough recent activity, then the forum dies. What is the point of that when you are trying to build traffic?

I'm a very blunt person, who will call bullshit. But that is why I decided to clarify ;-p No blood required, just a reminder that you moderate your own forum. **** has to go asap, of course, but most of that thread was funny, off the wall **** we randomly found online, the mod should have only deleted the **** posts.

I contributed to the **** postings, so I apologize for my role in that. Really though, the naughty pics were only on the last couple of pages. The entire thread being deleted is ridiculous.

In my experience, when there's 2-3 pages of **** in a thread, usually the whole thread gets deleted. That's been the case in most forums I've ever been in. Just saying.

I've never seen that. I always see the person who posts it get banned and all their posts deleted along with it.

At least in as big of a thread as that one was.

I don't even see why anybody is complaining in the first place seeing as to how this forum has been utter **** for the past 6 months or more..

maybe if we had more new and interesting people posting here then maybe, just maybe I'd give a ****.. otherwise what's the point?
