It's about the nature of attackers and their strategies, how your subconscious picks up signals and processes them, and prediction of behavior. For me, it has to do with reading one's body language (in regards to the martial arts), and being able to strike first.

I loved this book! He does tend to switch gears a bit about 1/3 into it, but it's still great reading. I have another book of his ready to read sometime; Just 2 Seconds, and I'm really looking forward to it.

I saw that one too, and was wondering about it. Let me know what you think Shawn.

Danielle Steel's "Big Girl"

if anyone else reads it, I'd like to hear your opinion ... I was hugely disappointed in Ms. Steel and I normally like her books for a nice easy read.  In my opinion she missed an opportunity ...

I have an Alex Cross story to read also titled Roses Are Red. I hadn't read James Patterson before, but I liked the two Alex Cross movies done by Morgan Freeman so I bought it.

Hmmm - along with 120 (I think that's right at the moment) student essays, I just finished  Lookin' Back, Texas, which was fun until the last few chapters when it got overly preachy and  Sacrifice by S.J. Bolton, which was pretty awesome. Next on my list -- well, after the rest of those essays -- is  Homer & Langley by E.L. Doctorow.
