I think as a constructive discussion, we should all list 5 things we expect from the movement - be it from group members, discussions, general assemblies, events, anything. This may give us a good idea of what we all expect from being involved in this movement.

OK, expectations... I will get yelled for the implied expectations...  but this is the topic.

1) the spirit of civic protest is whats most importatn, I want people to WANT to change our society for the better.  I want people to WANT to jump in and volunteer because this is what makes the world a better place. Our country will always be strong as long as there are agressive people who desire to change it no matter what the issues are.

2) to change our country to a place where people can once again achieve the "American Dream" instead of padding rich peoples pockets.

3) Perhaps this is the same as #2, but I want our children to have dreams.  This is dissapearing as fast as the industrial age arose.  As much as I encourage my children, their 4.0 gpa's are going to be irrelevant unless we try to give the next generation the opportunity to succeed.

4)  I want to see people stretch their abilities, to explore what they can accomplish.  This type of organization gives "Carte' blanche" for people to stretch their skills with minimum personal risk.  They may have skills at work they fear to display because of criticism.  This is the chance to show what you have to offer.

5) I have a place in my soul that truly wants to equalize the world so... yes this is petty, but so others have to work as hard as I have done to succeed. Every time I see a person who has a lower IQ, and far lesser motivation succeed because of societies positioning.. it poisons my soul.

Mostly, I want to see our community come together to show solidarity with everyone else occupying around the world.  I want to see people wake up and see that the status quo isn't working anymore.
