OFFLINE | This probably belongs in the religion section, but I see nothing wrong here. IMO Pat is right on what he actually says. Babylon fell. Canaan fell. Greece fell. Rome fell. And one could speculate that all fell because of their sinful debauchery (both gay and hetero). Hedonists, gays and gay activists may not like this, but them most dont like the Bible or God anyway.
(Btw...the British Empire (while smaller than it once was) still exists. France still exists. Germany still exists. Rome has evolved into a Christian Empire and still exerts much influence in the world.) |

The Eastern Roman Empire was a stalwart of Christianity, yet is no more. The same goes for countless gentile kingdoms. In contrast, China has existed longer than any other modern nation, yet was historically very tolerant of homosexuality, a practice that only ended about a century ago (Hinsch, 1992). Mr. Robertson's comments are an affront not only to those who believe in equality but also those who have any care for history. He's trying to employ revisionist historiography to justify his bigoted theology. |
