This section is for those of you who have any questions that need answered. Need a card ruling, a scenario answered, or help with your love life? I'm here to help you out. Also I'm here if you need help learning the game, wanna talk strategy, or run a deck idea by me. I'd be more than willing to help out if I can. I don't pretend to know everything, so that's why I like this chance to look up rules for you and learn more myself. I'm going to try to re-new my judging licence this weekend so I can make sure I'm caught up with all the new rules of Magic. Please feel free to ask me anything or e-mail me with your questions. See ya at Mind games.

Dear Judge,

In regards to Battle Cry effect.
If I am attacking with 1 creature with battle cry and one without. If someone uses an instant to remove or destroy my battle cry creature after attack is declared but before defenders are declared will the battle cry still take effect for the remaining monster or does he return to regular attack strength?

Specific Example:  I attack with: Goblin Wardriver http://www.blackborder.com/cgi-bin/prices/ex_prodshow.cgi?sid=dGZrtOXTbW&prodid=79100
                              and Ogre Resister http://www.blackborder.com/cgi-bin/prices/ex_prodshow.cgi?sid=dGZrtOXTbW&prodid=79252
If they go for the throat my Goblin will the Ogre get the boost for this attack?

If your creature with battle cry is destroyed before it is declared attacking, then there is no trigger and your creatures will not receive any bonus. If your creature is declared to be attacking and then is destroyed, battle cry will still trigger and will eventually resolve, giving your surviving creatures the +1/+0 bonus. It is Magic etiquette to announce that you're moving into the "Beginning of Combat" stage in which you can then pass priority to your opponent. This gives them the chance to kill or tap any battle cry creatures before their abilities trigger in Declare Attackers. Once attackers are declared though, the ability goes on the stack whether or not the creature remains on the field. I hope this answers your question.
