The Facebook BTM group is great for making connections but the options were limited. Specifically, the ability for members to delete threads was becoming a problem. Hopefully, this platform will offer more control and lead to a better user experience for all.

Pros:

- more control, more editing options including the ability to edit post.
- users cannot delete threads.
- no intrusive notifications default settings like those on FB groups.
- looks different than the FB wall so no chance of someone posting updates in the wrong place.

Cons:

- users must add FB app.
- single thread per page. FB group has multiple topics per page.
- slower
- FB friends cannot be added. They can only be invited.
- Entering forum and switching forums causes pop up message: Stream stories are restricted for this application.
- No mobile Facebook site support. Only works on devices that support desktop browsers.
- Forum cannot be seen or read without adding app and clicking into forum which automatically joins them to the forum.
- No ability to prevent anyone and everyone from joining the forum.
- No LIKE button on individual post.
