Tip #1: Recruit your friends and team up against the forces of evil

Most spells will reward other players with items if the cast a spell or do a mission within the Sanctuary created by the spell. So get some friends together, create some sanctuaries and take on some missions together to maximize your rewards. For best results, find a mission, then cast spells to create a sanctuary around it before you do the mission. That way you get the benefit of the spell, plus a Sanity boost from doing a mission in a Sanctuary, plus any items rewarded by the spell!

Tip #2: Be prepared for anything with the right gear

Don't be afraid to spend your credits. In addition to the stock you get when you start, you'll earn another credit every level and some missions will drop a bonus credit in the form of a "Token of Appreciation" from a mysterious benefactor. Take advantage of this by equipping the best gear from the item shop. You can double the radius of missions, so you don't have to travel so far, increase your XP rewards and even buy new, more efficient spells via the Book of Holy Wards. Keep in mind that some items are only useful to players that have been Possessed, so read the description carefully to be sure you're getting the most for your credits.

Tip #3: Boost spells and get the most for your magic

When you boost your spells using Augmented Reality and your phone's camera you'll get some of the magic you used to cast the spell refunded. For your basic spells like Spirit Barrier, that's 2 points from the 10 you needed to cast the spell, but if you boost some of the harder-to-find spells, like Holy Ward or Spirit Tower, then you'll get 2 points back even though it only cost 5 in the first place! That will create a Sanctuary with the same strength as a Spirit Barrier, but for only 3 points of magic! Use this to dominate your neighborhood and punch holes in the Hell Holes threatening the area.

What tips do you have for your fellow Demonologists and Possessed?

Bit of a tip which is pretty obvious and old hat for PAS vets: If you are going to attempt to take down a Hell Hole, use your spells to your advantage

1. Create a sanctuary as a staging ground for your activities. And use an Ouija board for long rage mission completion if you dont fancy venturing any further inside said Hell Hole.

2. Weaken your target first. Use spells to lower the strength of the Hell hole you are looking to take down.

3. Prepare before hand by increasing your sanity inside a Sanctuary. Thus, making it less likely that you will go "dark side" all of a sudden.

4. And remember to check you have the required amount of the specified type of magic before embarking. That way you can get straight to work and be home in time for tea.

Another Tip: To some, creating sanctuaries outside of Hell holes or indeed away from them completely may seem like a waste of magic and time, or indeed cheating when it comes to the leaderboards. But, Always remember its good to have a variety of locations that are "safe havens". These Sanctuaries can be used to:

*Increase Sanity if you are running a bit low.

*Get rid of hexes and or curses in a safe enviroment.(Some items actually require this to get rid of a curse.)

*Attain the bonuses that a particular type of Sanctuary gets you.

*I've observed that a lot of "Circle Of Protection" missions show up around Sanctuaries created outside Hell Holes.

*Although this is slightly moving away from my serious Hints and Tips: One thing to consider is that this is an RPG. So,protecting your house or even your favourite Coffee Shop is Role Playing and can be used to your advantage. This would also justify you a few places on the leaderboard tables if you still feel that you earned them for nothing, you did after all earn them through Role Playing, therefore the points you earnt count

I could give a real monologue here but, it would just end up very tedious and no one would want to read it. Many of you probably already put this in to practice but some will, as is say, feel it is useless and/or cheating. So this is for those people.

I'd add a very important tip on how to get the most for your magic: other than boosting it to slightly increase the spell's power and get some magic back, you should always try to complete missions that grant you familiars. They grant a grand +2 spell power for 24 hours each, and for two schools of magic at that! Also try to finish up chain quests: the bonuses you gain from those are usually weaker than familiar (except for some Spiritual/Void missions), but even a 24 hours +1 bonus to a single school of magic is nice, and so is some hours of a certain type of magic regenerating 20% faster, especially if we're talking about Air and Void magic!
