Well since this is the only place to discuss vintage products anymore I thought I would make the first post. Rockford Fosgate is shutting down there original forum and I was linked to facebook.

So lets get some posts and get this going. I have a vast collection of Rockford amps from 70's to present. Probably 100's of Rockford pieces.

I will be doing some testing of my amplifiers and posting the results. If you have any requests please ask. I dont have every amp they made but I do have alot.

Bigdwiz from the old forum also at "oldschoolstereo.com" has done extensive testing on alot of amps as where I got the idea from. I hope we can work together to fill some voids on amps he does not have.

The old forum was very active back in the day but these last few years has kinda died out and doesnt recieve the attention it used to. Lets dust off those keyboards and get busy!!

I enjoyed the RF forums im sad they are going down! i hope they keep the archives there for viewing cause theres alot of good information on there. I saw bigdwiz and his tests with the old amps and some of its pretty crazy. I dont have any of the older amps but the test results are always great to see.

Hey guys, I'm sad to see the RF Vintage Forum go away. I absolutely DETEST Facebook and their blatant disregard to privacy so I doubt I'll be posting here much. I'm attempting to setup my own forum so we can continue the "old school" amp test and other vintage car stereo gear...

I'm with you guys. I love old school car audio. I have a PPI2300AM and a HiFonics W1844 18in sub.

would you guys know for how many years RF made the Punch 300X amp? i have photos. Idk how to find out what year it is. but the thing only got a year or so of use and I've kept it in perfect condition in temp controlled environment and am looking to sell it. Any suggested prices from someone that would roughly know?

I have just purchased a Punch 60iX and would like to know if I could run my 2 x 6x9 and a 12” sub of this amp as I would like to bridge the sub
Cheers

Well you could set the cross over card to full range to your 6X9's set your gains to about 1/2 on the amp. Then bridge your sub mono but you will have to use a choke or coil inline with your sub to filter out the high frequency.

Is there a good place that can do some quality work on my older power 1000 fosgate amp. Not sure what happened to it, but shortly after I hooked it up ( had the power hx2 sub bridged down to 1ohm and didn't realize it) something happened and it just cycles on and off now. I would love to get it running since it is a good match for my sub (which is currently running off a mono bridged power 500). Both amps are the trapezoid shaped ones with the black terminal cover "wings".

Anybody knows how to use a single 95punch 50x2 amp for subwoofer operation.. having nosebleeds reading the manual, hope somebody could simplify the "xcard" situation
