OFFLINE | Q: I’m traveling in Vietnam now. I want to extend my Vietnamese visa. Can the Embassy help me?
A: The Embassy cannot help you to extend your Vietnamese visa. According to Vietnamese immigration regulations, you have to obtain an extension through a travel agency. You cannot obtain it by applying directly at the immigration office. Please contact a travel agency for assistance.
Q: I plan to travel to Vietnam in the near future. Do I need to obtain a Vietnamese visa to enter the country?
A: You need to obtain a Vietnamese visa to enter Vietnam. For information on how to obtain a Vietnamese visa, please contact the Vietnamese Embassy in Washington D.C. at http://www.vietnamembassy.us or the Vietnamese Consulate General in California at http://www.vietnamconsulate-sf.org. You may also obtain a visa through a travel agency. Travel agencies can also arrange for a visa that may be picked up when you enter Vietnam. Please note that arrangements from travel agencies must be made before your arrival. Please go to their webpage at http://www.vietnamtourism.com/e_pages/news/index.asp for specific information.
