OFFLINE | Make sure Oil Service Centers Use The Correct Oil For Your Vehicle!
This is just a quick FYI to keep in mind to make sure that whoever changes your oil uses the correct oil and oil weight. Oil weight looks like the numbers 5W20, 5W30, 10W30, etc, and can typically be quickly identified by simply looking at the oil cap under your front hood, or in your car’s Owner’s Manual.
The reason I’m pointing this out is because oil services centers make mistakes, and if they mistakenly put the wrong oil in your vehicle, especially on newer models, this could void any engine warranties you might have. And if that isn’t bad enough, tests can be done that prove whether or not the correct oil weights were used.
Granted, you might be able to sue the business or company responsible for using incorrect oil weights if some problem were to occur. But who needs the extra headache?
Anywho, FYI |
