first impression is good, some minor suggestions:

when the midi part is playing it runs in loop mode, but after hit record, the loop mode is off. thats not practicable.

the selected midi event has to be more highlighted.

i can´t change the velocity of midi events in the track viewer or midi editor with the pen tool, its almost impossible to hit the event.

i´d like to see a grid witch reflects the choosen quantice pattern in the editor window. or at least a line on the start of a event.

regards jan

Hi Jan

When recording audio it made no sense to have loop recording remain enabled, so we disabled it. However, this is a useful feature when recording MIDI as it enables overdubs etc. Looped recording of MIDI is something we plan on adding in future versions.

When in the MIDI Editor we only allow you to change the note volumes and controllers of the selected clip. In most cases unless you have ‘In-Place Editing’ enabled there will only be one clip active at any one time. If no notes are selected then you can use the PEN tool to change note velocities by simply dragging the pen over the notes in the controller pane. If however you have a chord made up of three notes all starting at the same location on the time line, you need a way to change individual volumes of notes within the chord. We use the universal standard of only allowing editing of selected notes in this instance. So if you need to adjust a single notes volume within a chord, select the note first using the ‘SELECT/MOVE’ tool, then use the ‘PEN’ tool to drag over the note in the controller area to change its volume.

On the Grid, point taken and we will look into this for you.

Hope this all helps

Hi John

Further to our discussions we have had a look at the grid and come to this conclusion Right now the grid represents beats (on the latest version) but would be impractical to draw grid lines to represent quantise patterns of less that say 1/4 beat since rendering too many grid lines consumes CPU

Thanks
