2011 Event Schedule

2011 event schedule was made and is as follows.

January.......1st New Years Ride for 2011

Rides usually leave between 9 and 10 am from North Evarts RV Campground. Sometimes returning to hot coffee, hot coco, and cookies.

February......12th Sweetheart Ride

Ride leaves between 9 and 10 am from North Evarts RV Campground, returning back usually to the meal of the ladies choice. Ladies are first in line. Menu to be determined at Monthly meeting.

March.........Nothing Scheduled

April.........16th Ramp Fest

The only time of the year that you can get Ramps from the mountains. They are dug and cleaned the week of the ramp fest. Cooked with polish sausage and potatoes. Unless other wise changed this will also be at the North Evarts RV Campground. Usually have rides that go out in the morning and return to some good eating between 4 and 5 pm.
May...........7th Lightning Bug Ride

The annual lighting Bug Ride usually leaves out around 5 pm. Usually have an off park ride that returns by 2 am. and an on park ride that leaves at the same time and returns between 11 pm and Midnight.

May...21st Preacher Sam Campout ride. This is thought to be the best time for bugs and weather. Will post more information as it comes closer. Mean time you can pm Preacher Sam or Rob McGill for more details.



May.....28th Memorial Day Pig Roast with Evarts Tourism

Our annual Memorial Day Pig Roast along with the Evarts Tourism will be held at the Dartmouth Walking Track. Hope to have things for Kids to do as we did last year with the Blow ups and never know if there may be live music as well. Pulled pork with all the sides to go with it usually at $10 a Plate.
June..........10th & 11th Summer Stampede

Usually kicking off on Friday night with Registration beginning at 5 to 7 pm with events starting at 7 with the pole bending and sled pull to follow.

Sat. registration begins 4 to 6 pm. with events starting at 6 pm. Obstacle course, mud pit and timed drag racing. Along with obstacle course and race for kids. There will be a $5 fee to enter thru the gate both night. Children under 12 free. Sign up for all events will be free.

July..........2nd Honor Guard Poker Run

This will begin at the North Evarts RV Campground with sign up beginning at 8 am with the ride beginning at 10 am First card will be drawn at sign up with 3 more cards drawn at different stops on the Park with the final card back at the campground. Will have a donation dinner afterwards with all money going to the Harlan Honor Guard. Doors prizes are usually given away as well. The city usually has their fire works show that night as well.

August........6th Family Fest
Times will be determined, just ride if you want to and be with family and friends and eat to your hearts content with whatever is planned for cooking this day.

September.....3rd Labor Day Evarts Block Party
This is the day we help the city with their block party with all the reunions going on usually at the City Hall Parking lot. I believe things start at 10 am. Updates to come later.

October.......7th & 8th Fall Jamboree
Same set up as Summer Stampede with times being an hour sooner than Summer Stampede.

November......25th & 26th Jingle Bell Weekend
December......4th Evarts Christmas Parade
..............17th Toy Giveaway
..............31st New Year's Ride for 2012

Remember all events can or could be changed or canceled due to weather or some unforeseen circumstance. Pick one or all and come and and enjoy 2011.
