Is this the actual Forum for Facebook? I've seen many other ones that are on totally different domains.

http://www.thefacebookforum.net/
http://www.facebookforum.co.uk/
http://thefacebookforum.com/
http://www.facebookforums.net/ - This one just shows a picture of this application. Once clicked on, you're redirected to the application.

All of which are far more active than this Forum application. Is the application Forum simply a shortcut for quick questions and answers? To avoid having to go to a different domain?

Yeah I saw different forums about Facebook as well. However, this is the only forum in Facebook.
Maybe not the only one but clearly the best one, and new features are being added to this forum constantly. It is user friendly and different (good different In short, I like this forum.

I guess it makes sense that this is the "original", considering it's branched directly from Facebook's application(s) list. Each of the Forums that are separate from Facebook's services have a far greater daily "user online" average. Compared to Forums generated by SMF or phpBB, this Forum has very little features as far as default features go. Posters do not have the ability to remove a post that they've recently made, or have created in the past. It can only be done by a moderator of that specific (sub)category if requested.

The amount of features available on this specific Facebook Forum, are essentially met with the population. My moderator position is not entirely that difficult, due to obvious reasons. The population is not great enough to pose any threats of content being posted that goes against Facebook's Terms of Service, and any EULA. I was awarded a moderator position for the "Facebook Forum" category, because that's where I post the most. I'm sure you understand what I'm getting at...

Nonetheless, it'd be nice if this Forum had some more features that would almost act as a incentive for people to use this application more often.
