Ok spring is here and summer quickly approaches.  Steph and I have finely decided on a motorhome and pick up our new Itasca 31' on friday.  We have already planned our first trip for June to Crater Lake.  Where is everyone else going this summer?  This will be the thread for us to post picks about our adventures.

Next month me and my kids are going to Amarillo Texas to see the kids' Nanny and Papa. We are going by plane, it should be an interesting trip..we have a 3 hour lay-over in L.A...I have to figure out a way to keep the kids...and myself from going batty in that three hours..lol

Wow John! I'm so glad you and Steff are getting a new motorhome! I can't wait to see the pics.  I say we all head to Crater Lake and crash the party. Heh heh!

How cool that you get to finally take that trip to Texas, Mel! How long will you be gone?

I have a family reunion in Boise at the end of July.  Can't wait to see all of my cousins and aunts and uncles. Woo Hoo! It's been eons.

We will be leaving early June 13th, and coming back on the 19th. We catch our plane at 5:45 in the morning..lol...that should be interesting...

Uh oh.  You gotta be there 2 hours early to get molested, er...frisked, uh checked by security.

Oh, the kids and I are going to Orlando, FL June 10th through 17th.  We will do 1 day of the Magic Kingdom then drive to the beach and hang by the pool the other days.

Mel I'm so glad you finally get to take the kids to Texas.  Don't worry about having to entertain everyone for three hours there is always so much to see and people to watch in airports.

Jane, that sounds like such fun! My niece and her husband work at Disney World.   I think he manages a couple of the attractions. I've always wanted to go.

Can you ask him if there are any discounts we could get?  The cost is pretty dear to get in and I'd like to go more than one day but just can't swing it.

Oh my gosh.. I would so LOVE to go with you guys!  

I wrote to my niece and this is what she said:

"Disney has some amazing deals if you buy stuff together (tickets, hotel stay, and disney dining plan). The discounts we get on tickets as cast members are about the same. Plus, they take you to and from the airport, and you get to use disney transportation. There are shuttles that take you to the other parks (Sea World, Universal, and Wet'n'Wild) for an additional charge. The Birnbaums books are my favorite Disney guide books. They have pictures and maps which help people get a feel for the parks. Hope that helps!"

I am having an operation on June 7th so my summer will be home mostly again this year. Last year I dealt with the breast cancer. But we do plan on driving up through Conn, Mass, Ma and hopefully Vermont just to look around nothing big. I have never been up there and I want to see it. The trip is planned in July.

You will have a great time... I love Disney World and have been there many many times.
