I've been looking at flights, cars, and hotels for my trip to Fort Benning in July. I was wondering 2 things... What are your opinions on either flying to Atlanta then renting a car and driving to Ft. Benning, orrr flying to Columbus w/ the layover in ATL? I'm trying to find the cheapest way to do things because I'm tight w/ my money right now. I wasn't sure how much it'd cost to rent a car either. My boyfriend said his one battle buddy told him it's pretty cheap, but I've never done it before so I'm unsure. Also, with renting a car, do you have to be at least 25 to do so? I'm 23, so that would suck if we couldn't even rent a car? Thoughts, opinions, suggestions.. anyone!

Yes it would probably be cheaper for rental car being that its on a weekend its always cheaper. But you do have to be 25 to drive the car the last time I checked on renting cars.

Ugh, that's what I thought! I guess I'll have to call around and find out for sure, but that really sucks. Who made that stupid law anyways?

I thought if you were under 25 you just had to pay an extra fee and rent it with a credit card or something along those lines. (Disclaimer: I have never rented a car.)

I'm looking into the rentals now. Anyone know of any cheap rental places?.. If you are renting, which did you go with? I'm trying to just find the cheapest one! Help please, I'm new to this renting a car thing!
