It seemed I am reading more ads on here than what forum members are writing. If you use AdBlock Plus, you won't have to read those ads on here or anywhere while using the net. If you already know how to install Adblock plus for Firefox or I.E., go ahead and post instructions for that.
This is for google chrome. And if you already know how to use AdBlock Plus, this may seem like elementary installation but not all of us are at the same level and I want everyone to have the same chance to not read those pesky ads.
For Google Chrome:
Open your browser:
1. Upper right corner is the gray wrench. Click on that.
2. Scroll down to tools and click.
3. Scroll down to extensions. Click on that.
4. A new window will pop up and the window will show what extensions you are running. If you don't see AdBlock Plus on that window, look down until the middle of the screen. You will see "Get more extensions". Click on that.
5. The link will take you to Chrome Web store. In the upper right you will see a search window.
6. In the search window type in AdBlock Plus. Hit Enter.
7. The first one that shows up should be "AdBlock Plus" with a white hand in a red stop sign. It says - Fun - Free. Click on that one.
8. The plugin says, "The most popular Chrome extension, with over 2 million users! Blocks ads all over the web." - That's the one you want. Click on it.
9. Side note: This is a free installation, authored by Google. You are not installing some unknown 3rd party block site. It's verified by google Chrome. This is going to block all advertisements on all web pages, Facebook and Youtube.
10. Click on Install or whatever it says to get it going.

Voila! You did it. Go ahead and follow the clicks after it's installed and you are done. One of the links asks if you would contribute to help the dude who made this and at first it seemed like a mandatory payment but you DO NOT NEED TO PAY. Just close out your window and open a new browser and watch the web w/o ads. Pretty cool!

I made this super easy to follow. If you know a simpler way, go ahead and post it here. I know there are tons of computer literate peeps here and if we all work together we can help this place instead of making it an ego issue/pee contest.

If you don't understand any part of this, let me know. I went off of memory and I make mistakes. I don't care about making the mistakes, I care that I fix them so I don't lead people on a goose chase.
