OFFLINE | Holy Cow! Lol! That mayor is serious. Did you see the look on that car owner's face? ROFL!
Seems the city would have been better off severely fining the owner though. That guy could probably afford to pay hefty fines which would go toward filling the city's coffers. |

OFFLINE | I think the point was that to these drivers the fines are nothing, so they just pay them and continue to offend. When cars park in bike lanes the biker either has to go into the street to go around or onto the side walk with pedestrians. Both of those are variable dangerous, so this is more about public safety than anything else. |

Try riding a bike as a major mode of transportation for a couple months, and then you too will start fantasizing about crushing illegal parker's vehicles with a tank. Like I said, there are multiple scenarios involving cars parked (or otherwise stopped) in a bike lane that can result in a dead cyclist. |

so is the "comrade" bit because it's the mayor of an ex-soviet republic, the fact that they're crushing mercs (so punishing rich people for flouting/breaking the law), or are you taking the approach that "bike lanes are the thin end of the wedge that lead to totalitarian state control"? :-P |
