Chair smiled and let out a relaxing purr. "Relax ensign. We are not the Kobayashi Maru, we are the USS Republic. And besides, the Kobayashi Maru came to grief in Gamma Hydra. Tau Ceti IV was just it's homeport."

Naranja gives a sheepish grin, relaxes a little "Yes sir." and heads in the direction of the shuttles as indicated by the Captain.

Telor returned the "handshake". "Indeed, I am Doctor Telor, your new CMO," he replies. "Pleased to meet all of you, especially a fellow doctor, like yourself, Captain." Having previewed the crew, prior to arrival, he knew the captain was also a medical doctor.

Chair grins as Telor shakes his paw. "Well while I understand you're strictly CMO for the ship, you're more than welcome to make landfall at our various destinations. I had been browsing through your records and having a second accomplished exo/xeno-biologist on board is a relief."

"I will be glad to assist wherever and whenever needed," says Telor, nodding.

"Okay folks, shall we head to the shuttles then?" The  Caitian tries to herd them towards the shuttle bays.

Alon nodded and started in the general direction of the shuttlebays. He was too new, so he really didn't have a whole lot to say, yet.

Everyone is called to board the Republic and take their stations.
