OFFLINE | I just got back from seeing the Ides of March. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone in this group. |

OFFLINE | Its a George Cloony movie (he directs and acts). Its a political drama about scandal, back room deals, and the death of ideology leading up to the Democratic primary in Ohio. All the protagonists and antagonists (as much as there are any) are Democrats, so you don't have to worry about your political sensibilities being violated (that is to say, there is no partisan message in the movie. The only partisan jab I recount was when a vile character stated that it was time the Democrats got “in the mud with the **** elephants.” Which I believe to be a reasonable accusation about how dirty Republican primaries are). |

OFFLINE | I think I remember hearing about it now. In the mud with the elephants is a funny ass quote. I'm not sure what he meant by it though. If the Reps are dirty why would he want the Dems to join them? |

The character who said that was the campaign organizer for Clooney's rival, who was suggesting that the Democrats shouldn't be afraid to run negative campaigns against each other in primaries. |
