OFFLINE | We, the teens of today, face much graver issues and harder decisions than we ever have before. It is not uncommon for us tobe exposed to gang warfare on a daily basis, and it is not necessarily confined to inner-city or at-risk teens. Drugs, alcohol, smoking, early physical developement, pregnancy, depression and suicide have found their way into our schools. We know about kidnappings, child abuse and vioence through the media or maybe even from our own experiences. Immediate family members, grandparents and friends die from accidents or from diseases like AIDS and cancer. We are frightened of losing our families through divorce or separation; even when we know best, we don't want it to happen or we don't like it.
Teens like us feel as if we must understand and accept all the troubles of the world. We are expected at an earlier age to know what we want to be an what we want out of life, an the choices can be quite overwhelming.
Our topics can help to empower you and encourage you to love and accept yourself, and to believe in your dreams; to let you know that there are answers to your questions and to give you hope for a better tomorrow and a great future!
