So did you get anything from Steven, Amanda? Seeing as it has been three days, I am hoping you did and I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!

  I tell ya, that letter made my day. I always looked forward to them coming in the mail, but with the end of boot approaching I thought they would end. It was kinda bittersweet.  I did learn that 2163 only won by a half a point. So ha!! How about them apples?  And the DI's were pissed, because one point was taken away from another platoon, otherwise 2163 would not have won. Sorry, I keep seeing parents bragging about 2163 being the honor platoon.  I keep my mouth shut about it though.    As I told my FIL, it doesn't make them any better of a Marine in the field. Anyway, I got way off subject...

And Brian, you are right!! This moment in life could not be better, well until Thursday anyway....and Friday....and for the next 10 days after that!!

HALF A POINT! I hope our guys don't know that, I'm sure it would **** them off to no end. Oh well, I completely agree with what you said about it not making them better Marines in the field, very well put!
