Hi all, i can't make this as I live too far away but I would be so grateful if you could keep me in the loop I just need some sort of confirmation that Birkdale went into liquidation or that they won't remove implants free of charge. Would really appreciate any info xx

Hi ladies,  I have contacted Birkdale, Crosby and they appear to have washed there hands & said they do not have the facilities to offer scans.  All they told me was they stopped using them during 2008.  However a friend of my auntie's has told her she was implanted with pips just before christmas.  They were banned March 2010!!   They have not confirmed I have pips as I am still waiting for them to get back to me however fortunately I have kept all my documentation which includes the "lifetime guarantee" from PIP France.  I have a GP appointment tomorrow & I am terrified.  I am sickened by the attitudes of other people in the media.  I have never smoked, rarely drink & have worked since I was 16 so at 37 I have more than contributed enough money to the National Health Service.  If I was a drunk, a smoker or had a drug addiction they would fall over themselves to help. I am fortunate that I have had no complications that I know of.  But for how long...  And what has to happen before we are treated.

Susan my auntie passed your name to me yesterday I will attend your meeting Sunday evening.

Thanks Donna xx

I emailed Persico today and he replied two hours ago:
Dear Janette,

I am very happy the hear from you that you were extremely satisfied about your procedure.
Unfortunately the PIP implants are creating a lot of problems and stress to many women.
For all my patients I am ready to offer my personal service free of charge and they should to cover only the other cost ( Hospital, Anaesthetist, implants ).
I am trying to negotiate the best price possible with a couple of hospitals just to help all my patients.
Regarding the implant I am able to offer any kind of implants, obviously each implant has different cost.
I think in a few days I will be able to let you know perfectly which prices I can do for each kind of implant. We will keep in touch.
I hope you can find this email helpful and if you need more information do not hesitate to contact me agin.

kind Regards
Mr. Maurizio Persico
