....The 71rst Short Story Competition..
ok, for anyone new to this, I'm attempting to move the contest from myspace to facebook.  

rules: follow the topic, write your heart out and message the results to me before the deadline.  when I collect all the stories, I will post them anonymously in a new topic.  there will be a deadline and voting scale.  people will vote.  the story that wins will be announced in a new topic.  the winner will then host the next contest.  hosting means you get to pick the next topic, story length, and deadline.  also, the voting scale when it come to that.  

the topic is Sci-Fi

approx 500 words ( I won't count). I want to see science fiction short
stories. strange futures, steampunk pasts, DNA manipulations, machines
with souls, mad scientists and things like that. be as outer-spacey or
as just-slightly-surreal as you feel.
