So, we need to write 1-2 pages for each essay but:

1. Are there a font, font size and lines-spacing requirements? Because clearly a double-spaced essay will be shorter than a single-spaced essay. And I want to know if I'm writing at length with my examples, or I need to be very to the point.

2. Do we need to do a cover page, and a bibliography page? This isn't a paper, it's a home exam, so MLA rules shouldn't have to apply. But this is Zisser we're talking about, and I'm not taking any chances.

I've posed these questions to the frightened TA in an e-mail. If/when she answers me, I will report back. If not, and anyone has a clue on what is standard requirement in the English department for home exams, we'd love your input.

So far: written 1 page of rubbish and popped one Advil. May the force be with us all.

Partial answer, I'm sure you've all been waiting with bated breath.

Hi Yaara,
A cover page would be good.
you do not need a bibliography -but refer to th texts at leat once in full - headline and full name of author , and the font size should be Times New Roman 12
Good luck!
Danielle

I replied pressing the matter of the spacing, because that makes a big difference.

PS: I have a nice little (double spaced) draft of the second question. Whoo. Progress is being made.
