So, I'm wondering what's the worst case scenario when failing to reinforce a stat?

Does it go down a rank, or is the boost value decreased?

Meaning will a Digimon who went all the way to rank 9 using backup discs, or without failing, have more boost than a rank 9 who failed a few times?

I've searched google dry on this topic and can't find anything specific.

Thanks in advance.

Well, if you fail, You get to downgrade the stat by one level (it´s a chance that increases alongside the level you´re hoping to increase).
When you get to 9, doesn´t matter how much times you have failed, Eveyones is meant to get a certain value (which may tends to be SLIGHTLY different) Just dont worry about it.
You dont´t necessarily have to use back up chips, but is faster this way

hope I´ve helped.(S4ME)<< means Sorry For My English

First and foremost your english is good ^^ very understandable.

But I'm still looking for a more specific answer.
What do you mean by "the values tend to be slightly different?" - for different species of digimon or?

I'm training my Veemon to compare with my Renamon, I'm going to post again when my Veemon reaches lv. 51.
