Barbados has much of it's early records transcribed onto the Mormon site familysearch.com - these are not detailed and there are vertually no deaths recorded.

Other islands, for example Grenada and St. Vincent, have virtually no records available online and the only way to change this is by starting your own local Free-Carib-BMD (births-marriages-deaths) groups.

Students on each island are planning starting there own 'transcription' groups - groups of like minded Caribbean's who want to help get the records straight and make their family-legacy freely available online.

Taking it in turns to visit their local archives (with laptops and digital cameras) - they begin the long process of copying Birth, Baptism, Marriage and Death records to post on the web. Usually starting with the indexes.

START YOUR OWN GROUP AND HELP!

If you are in Europe or the America's you can visit a local 'Family History Centre' and order microfilm records of the Births, Marriages, Deaths etc from the Caribbean islands.  Remember also that you can ask for electronic copies of what you find (these or put onto a memory-card or stick.  You can then share these with everyone on "Caribbean Families".

Here is a list of the Archives on most islands (if you visit these remember to take your phone-camera to capture images of what you find):-
