Before incarnation, we all choose a guide to aide us through life here on Earth. They help us create a type of 'soul contract' that includes the path we laid out for ourselves and karmic ties that will be confronted. They are bound to you throughout your entire incarnation, they will not leave your side and are always looking out for your best interest, but leaving free will entirely in your hands. Spirit guides communicate messages in various ways; a subtle whisper (clairaudience), energetic vibration (clairsentiance), or even through nature.

Connecting With Your Guides.

When receiving a message from your guide, most often it will feel like your own internal dialogue.. just as an clairaudient individual would receive information. Usually, the message will be very random, which is an indicator that the thought was not originally yours but from an outside source. They are usually very subtle, sometimes the messages may even be feelings or just a simple word or symbol. They also like to give us 'signs' from time to time to show us that we are on the right path, as another way to send a message, or even just to show us that they are present.

You can also request to speak with your guide through meditation to deepen your connection in dream state. How will you know if you spoke with your guide? If you had a conversation with an entity that felt like it was real time and it didn't jump around from one spot to another, it was more than likely your guide. It is also said that if the dream were in color, it's an indicator.. but I personally always dream in color so that I am unsure of.

Working and communicating with your guides can be very useful, as they are able to oversee and view from above.. seeing every viewpoint of our lives. Don't ever feel as if you are asking them too much, that is not possible.. for they made this 'contract' and connection with you before incarnation for a reason. Ask and you shall receive!
