 OFFLINE | Hi,
So far I've had my Bryton Rider 35 for about 3 weeks and I have sent it in once for a warranty claim already for inaccurate heart rate readings. I've now received it back and they advised nothing wrong with the Heart Rate sensor but there was an issue with the cadence sensor which was replaced.
Now I have the cadence sensor set to speed so I can use it on a stationary indoor trainer when doing interval training. This is what I've noticed.
1. When in record the speed is not displayed or recorded

Neither is the ride time. The training session was 50 minutes.
Can you advise if record only records information from the GPS signal ? If so this is downside.
2. Heart Rate readings seems to lag to update. During a high intensity - 1 minute hard time trail effort my heart rate seemed to pause. You can see the plateau in the link.
3.The display needs to have a better contrast, when riding in daylight the screen can be quite reflective.
Bryton support, please provide a response as I'm considering returning the device and going to another well known brand.

OFFLINE | Ok, done some testing. If you disable the GPS then the distance and speed is taken from speed sensor and it's logged. Also the ride time is also logged.
Now if I can get answer about the Heart Rate reading then I'll be ok. By the way the battery had been changed four times.

OFFLINE | Hi Richard, I've had nothing but trouble with my heart rate sensors and cadence sensors aswell. I considered just throwing mine in the bin and getting another brand also. I havent bothered with the heart rate sensor or cadence sensor now for months. I am planning on seeing the rep in person at the bay in the day bike expo and seeing if I cant get any answers there. I like you have changed the batteries heaps also with no joy. |

 OFFLINE | Hi, Carol,
Sorry for the inconvenience that you had to go through. You can send them to the local dealer where you purchased the items and see if they could figure out the problems. |

OFFLINE | Actually, my heart rate monitor has been pretty good over the last week or so. I haven't had much of an issue at all. |

I spoke to soon my heart rate reading issue has returned. I did a fairly intensive interval session and at some point like during sprints my heart rate is at resting pointing !!! This is now becoming fustrating as I bought the device for training and also to monitor my performance during racing which I start this week. So by the time that Evans Cycles addresses my issue I will lose about 2months of data. I really regret purchasing this product as it's a lemon.
Here is the link to the session where my heart rate trends downward regardles of the intensity of the session.

OFFLINE | Ok, I've been in contact with Evans cycles and they've agreed to a refund. I must say that they handled the situation pretty well. |
