This is actually something I'm kinda fussy about. I love flowers, but I don't like taking them home with me because it kills the plant. The woman who owns this garden always tells me I can snip some and take some with me if I want, but I'd rather see them right where they are and when away, remember them from a picture. |

| Ahhh, not me Shawn. I grow flowers and I leave them there initially but as they start to fade I
cut them and bring them in for boquets so I can see them all the time. I LOVE cut flowers.
I have plenty in the garden but I bring lots inside to enjoy. |

My preference would be to have potted plants inside, but every time I've tried it,,, they died  |

| I work with the elderly, and I am always gleaning them for tid-bits of wisdom. Today I was helping this one sweet lady to bed. She is 102, and is still physically and mentally sound! I asked her; "What is your secret?" After a dramatic pause she replied; "I just didn't .....die!"

That's cute, lol.
I was thinking about this while out for a walk today, but I think a huge influence to many of our ailments, particularly after 35 years of age, is relative to all the toxic things in the foods we eat every day. And even when you're eating healthy, heck, probably even with 'organic', we're ingesting all kinds of nasty things that worsen our overall health. Anyone watch the show "Food, Inc."? It's gross! And this 102 year old woman lived in a time BEFORE food production got so gross.
But yanno, it'd be SO cool to be able to remember, say, the last 90 years of your life or even more, seeing all the changes over time, all the people come and go... I can only imagine what goes on in this woman's mind! |
