The fact that there’s another body, apparently the woman’s daughter, holding a video recorder shows that it’s staged. However, I can’t prove the ‘discipline’ was faked.

These are some thoughts that come to mind:

1) This is an example of how an otherwise healthy human (assumingly the child) being can be socialized with severely toxic character disorder (ahem, a ‘monster’)

2) Sadism

3) Torture

4) Entitlement/Grandiosity (ask yourself, ‘why’ did she have it recorded?)

5) Remorselessness

6) Lack of Empathy

7) Bullying (misuse of parental authority)

My final thought,,, this is an example of why I disagree with psychopaths or severely character disordered people being parents.

No, I hadn’t seen this article. I did see Sherri Shepherd recently on The View suggest the idea of the mother’s “Cry out for help”, and my immediate thought to that was BS. Having her 10 year old daughter video recording her abusive behavior towards the child, and God knows how many times, is Antisocial behavior.

Regarding the boy “acting up and lying”, are we just supposed to take her word for that? Why not come forth with video recordings of that instead of her abuse towards her son? And why not video record the spanking and soap-in-the-mouth instances that supposedly didn’t work; is that just not ‘shocking’ enough for television?

Regarding the producers wanting video of the actual discipline, all I can say to that is “Shame on them!”, that is unless they had an underlying motive to simply turn the material over to the police for private investigative purposes. But they apparently wanted to air it.

Regarding the stats of the 17 dead adopted Russian Children, I suspect that could be a misleading figure. Granted, I think it’s disgusting, but severe child abuse is fairly common in America, so I don’t think these 17 tragedies signify anything in particular towards Russian adoptions.

But what about any possibilities of her abuse towards her biological children? Granted, her daughter was quite young, 10 years old. But I can remember being 10 years old and having an appropriate range of understanding right from wrong. If I were that 10 year old girl, I would have been terrified and I’m sure my fears would have some how been resonate in some fashion in that video footage. Show just what exactly goes into a 10 year old child recording such brutality?

At best, I find this woman to be pathological and unfit for parenting – period. But without any further knowledge of this case, it’s hard to develop a realistic opinion of favorable actions against this family. But I’m sure this case could be used as propaganda to fuel even more outside hatred of America.
