Pastor Shawn Wood is the founding  and Lead pastor of Freedom Church. He is the primary preaching pastor and serves the church through the role of the voice and visionary leading of our most visible ministries.

Shawn grew up in Moncks Corner, SC and graduated from Berkeley High School.  While at Berkeley his heart was captured first by Jesus, and secondly by Connie, his wife of fifteen years.  Shawn and Connie have three children: Isabelle (5), Hayes (2) and Sam (just got here), and love Saturday family day more than any other day in the week!

Shawn has written two books published by Abingdon Press, "200 Pomegranates and an Audience of One" and "Wasabi Gospel" and has a third book coming, "Messy, Organic, Erratic, Sporadic" in the Spring of 2012.

Shawn loves Jesus, Connie, Isabelle and Hayes, and kinda likes the Gamecocks and the Mavs.
