Well after such a long period of time without any sort of contact at all it would appear that the letters are coming with some sort of regularity now!!!!~ This pleases me so much!!!~ It may not be "verbal" or "physical" but it is contact non the less......From my sons letters I can honestly say he is "settling" into Boot Camp and giving it his all!!~ He seems as if he is in "good spirits" and taking full advantage of his time at MCRD!!~ He realizes that during this process it is about "weeding out" the weak links and non survivors....so he is giving 1000% every single day!!~ He was Squad Leader for 3 days but managed to get "fired".....as he had a hard time with the DRILLS......so he says that is ok, it just gives him something to work on a little bit harder!!!~ Even with that he laughed at himself about it...... I love how he seems to be at peace and dealing with all of this......The adjustment can take a pretty hard toll on these guys but I can tell he is there!!!!~As a Mom this makes me so proud and I can definately take a breathe.....I know that there will be days that he is frustrated and feel like crap but I truly believe that he has what it takes to DIG DEEP and continue fighting!!!!!~ We have managed to get through 18 days of 13 Weeks and not one "horrible" letter yet!!!!!~ THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!~ Until we meet again.....Ooorraaahhh!!!!~ Hang in there Plt. 2166!!!!!~
