Just a heads up that there is a (minor) bug with the original seahorse, at least in my tank.

They are listed as selling for 500000 coins but only sell for 200000, which is the same as their purchase price.

They are still great XP though and very beautiful!

Please, be more attentive. The sell price for the Seahorse is settled to 50,000 coins. In the Rules you can get to know that this price grows 4 times (i.e. 200,000 coins) when a fish reaches its 5th level of growth.

So am I understanding correctly that the purchase price of a seahorse is 200,000.

The sell price is 50,000.

If they grow to level 5, this increases X4 to reach 200,000, the original purchase price.

So seahorses are always at best breaking even? They never earn any coins, only xp?

Yes, they give a lot of xp - if you sell it on its 5th level of growth you'll get
1100 (purchase xp) + 2200*4=9900 xp
and even more if you've got a pet in the tank.

when you buy a seahorse for 200,000.00 coins it says that you will be able to SELL it for 500,000.00 coins once it reaches maturity (level 5) however mine is selling for the purchase price, please fix this bug. (here is a print screen of what my level five seahorse will sell for  oh oh my goodness.. I JUST saw that there is ONE ZERO MISSING... why would they reduce the price so drastically from the purchase price in the resell? that does not make any sense. so the GLITCH is a GOOD THING at this time, if they are letting us BREAK EVEN ... how odd.

Seahorses have always been a break even deal as far as coin is concerned. You can however make a 10% profit on them if they are sold at level 5 or above in a tank with a jellyfish in it. There is no glitch, bug or otherwise shady deal thing going on here. Count the number of zeros with your glasses on! hahahahah j/k The Dwarf Rainbowfish are a great fish for players that have them unlocked in the store for they make the same xp per hour as a seahorse and the coin profit is unreal! The downside of the rainbows is of course that they will need to be fed every 6 hours compared to 24 hours for the seahorse.
