 OFFLINE | Quite simple really.
1) Be cool to each other. No-one likes being given a hard time, so try not to give a hard time to others. Any cases of uncoolness goings on should be reported to me. The admin and mods should be given the upmost respect and will have the last word. If you feel hard done by the mods or me, feel free to contact me.
2) Try to stick to canon, allowances will be made obviously since Star Trek canon can only go so far, especially in this time period but please keep it within the realms of possibility of the existing Star Trek universe. Any changes to the ship should be passed by me. Any strange new species should also be passed by me. While originality will be welcome, godmodding won't.
3) Length of posts. Follow the Goldilocks rule. Not too short, not too long, just right. Try to give people a chance to respond (see rule #1).
4) No sabotaging of the storyline. Generally speaking you should be able to feel the direction of the story. While for the most part of it we'll be 'winging it' there is a general direction of play. If you inadvertently throw a spanner in the works I'll keep you straight and offer prompts in the right direction, as well as offering you opportunities to rewind and try again. This will allow you to explore avenues of play to their inevitable ends without ending the universe altogether.
5) Something else - not sure exactly what yet but I reckon that as we progress we'll find the need for new rules. Since this potentially means a right pain in the tail for me re-writing, let's try not necessitate the writing of new rules. |
