    This group is for people in CAIRNS and surrounding districts to list items they wish to buy, swap, sell or give-away.

    To make things run smoothly, we have some simple rules to be adhered to;

    1. The admins of the group reserve the right to remove any inappropriate posts or pics.

    2. Party Plan/Business/Event advertising is permitted if relevant to the CAIRNS region. Please post in the appropriate area.  Any spamming to members of the group will result in an instant ban.

    3. Try to describe your item accurately. Any items without a description that includes at minimum the size (if applicable) and price will be removed. .

    4. As a courtesy to other users please either remove or tell people item is no longer available.

     5. The admins are not responsible for people posting inaccurate or misleading ads, non pickup, or non payment. Please feel free to contact the admins if u feel that you have been misled.

     6. If you have tried to contact a buyer / seller and no response, please let admin know with details of when you contacted them. If there is no response within 7days from the seller/buyer, item will be removed. If a seller or buyer has a complaint put in against them 3 times, they will be removed from the group.

    7. If you wish to buy an item, we ask that you comment on the thread first so as to ensure fair trading. We encourage first in, first serve. Please mention on the thread if you're going to private message someone.

    8. Please put a pick up suburb or alternatively write if you are able to drop off as well as stating the terms and conditions of sale (eg: item to be collected in 48hrs otherwise it goes to next in line)

Just a suggestion....what do you think about having a rule against using pics of items people have just gotten from the net? I for one, am hesitant about buying something that the photo is just cut & copied from google images. If you really want to sell it, take a quick pic & upload it!
People should be able to see what they are thinking about buying...
