Our biggest challenge is how to replicate the success of MK on FB to our web site.

How are we going to achieve that?
Our web site will focus on TSC (Tech related Social Community) based on SCMS (Social Content Management System).

Features:
Integrated Photo Gallery
Forum (with better functions)
Chat (with more chat rooms)
etc

Enhanced Features:
Wall (Not FB but our very own)
Individual Wall (your very own)
Facebook/Twitter/Google login
Friends Invite
Private Messaging
Special Groups on demand (Eg Samsung, HTC, Jailbreaker etc) Groups
Seasonal Template (Our theme can change from time to time, not just profile picture)
etc

I would say it is like having our MK's FB Fan Page on our website but better.

Besides creating our webpage, we will also print 2 types of name cards (200 each). One with my contact and one w/o any contact. The one with contact is to be given to potential sponsors and the blank one is for general public. We will continue to use B&W name card printed by bubblejet or laser printer using 80gsm A4 paper.

What's next?
Once everything is up, it will be easy for us to develop FB & G+ integration. We also can look toward a more mobile friendly alternative, so that you can access wall/chat/forum on MK via your smart phones and tablets. Perhaps our own Android apps too. The possibility is endless, so long we get our foundation right.

How can we contribute?
Of course such fancy ideas need development. We can create it entirely ourselves, but honestly, who has the time to write from scratch. Even we do find the time, it will take us months if not years to complete on a freelance basis.

The easiest way is to get plugins off the shelf and we improve it to suit us along the way. But that lead us to other questions like how much it cost and who is paying?

I appeal to our fans to raise S$800.00 to S$1,200.00 (in total), so that we have resources to setup a better website. Closing date for donation is 17th July 2011.

What's the status now?
Currently we had raised $300.00 and we had spent it on:
1) our domain (http://www.MobileKopitiam.com) and 2 years hosting
2) social plugins

Moderators and some fans will be expecting to receive invitation when we reach beta testing. We will open to more fans from time to time till officially launch.

Beta Release: 15th July 2011
Release Candidate: 17th July 2011
Official Launch: 9th August 2011

Current Status: Beta 0.1 before 15/7/2011

Expected Launch: 22nd July 2011

What if we cannot raise the money?
Then we will just had to live with what we had without part of the enhanced features listed and don't complaint. Enhanced features can be added later with painful user experience.

Several major components like Wall and Forum are permanently removed due to budget problem. These functions wouldn't be introduce forever as late integration likely to cause un-stableness on live site.
