Would really appreciate a pause function on the rider 50.  I know it auto pauses, but that isn't taken into account if you export the GPX file to use in other software.  I often stop for a break on longer rides and would prefer to be able to pause the ride, as I can on other free apps on my mobile phone.

Hi, Mark, we heard your wish. It's a good suggestion for us to consider.  We will keep that in mind.  Thanks again!

I agree with Mark - would be nice if you could visualize where and how long one paused later on.

Planning to purchase the Rider 50 in a couple of weeks so I haven't tried it yet, but in my experience with phone apps this feature is a must!

Would really appreciate the possibility to merge 2 or more track because when I stop a recording  and restart it again, it will record it as a seperate route.

I have made this point in the past myself to Bryton and I honestly feel this is what lets it down compared to Garmin.  Part of one of my popular routes includes a 15 minute ferry journey and I do not want that time included in my ride as I do not ride my bike round the ferry ;-).  Also if I cycle to the shops then go in for a walk around then cycle  home I don't want my slow plodding through the store to effect my MPH avg or distance.  But the only alternative is to leave the device on the bike.  Not a good idea!!

Please look at a fix for this as it is the only thing I feel it is lacking.  Other than that a great device.

Good points made I feel.  Only shows what a great addition to a great device it would be...... can't see any negatives to its introduction.

Regarding the pause function. As a leisure rider and a long distance tourer, a "pause recording" button would be great. I don't use my Rider50 for touring at the moment, instead I use "track my ride" on the iPhone.I am about to head off to Japan for 6 weeks as a tourist on a bike.I could not afford the Japan maps and have just found out that they were not available in English.Have purchased another brand of Gps with free downloads of all continental maps, worth the exorbitant price for those alone. So my Rider 50 with maps may go on eBay.

Well, if you're going to have a wish list I'd like a battery booster pack for long Audaxes!

(Very happy with device - I can upload Audax organisers GPX files and follow a route for 200/300k...

Here's another one - a power port further away from the bike mount.

That way I could charge it on the move!

+1 on the battery booster pack. Realy annoying to start a ride with a full charge and not being able to record the whole thing.
