Hello fellow RF family
I was wondering if anyone out there has or know of where to get either a single or a pair of RF Punch HX2 8" sub woofers? I currently have 2 mint condition 8" HX2'S that I ended up finding by accident, I stumbled upon while buying 3 12" Power HX2's from a guy on Craigslist, Neither one of us knew their worth so he said a price and I said SOLD! lol, I scored them for $150 for the pair but I would like to get another pair to have as well. I would more than likely never use any of them but it seems like my trend is to own subs in 4's; as I have 4 Power HX2 12's and 4 Power HX2 10's The two 8's I already have, I have never used since I bought them other than free air, low volume testing to make sure they were mechanically sound. Then they just sit patiently on the shelf in my garage and act as really good conversation pieces " Friend: That's a really nice 10 you got there~~ Me: Thanks, that's actually a 10 over there and this is an 8" Everyone's first response is usually pretty comical. But anyways, I was hoping to buy at least one (I have a lead on a single I'm going to be following up on tomorrow, but not sure of its condition due to lack of pictures) more so if in the future sometime I did decide to use them, I would have 3 (hopefully 4) to run. Also, I have one other question for anyone who is personally familiar with the 8" HX2's performance. I know this Site, Forum, and Fan Club does not like non RF product questions or opinions posted here but I really would like to know How well would these Punch HX2 8's stack up against a pair of Sundown Audio SA-8's? Both models of subs seem to be fairly equal in specs and rating but I'm highly confident the HX2's are superior. I have no intentions of ever using Sundown subs nor any of their equipment but the reason for me asking is because, a friend of mine has 2 SA-8's and bought them shortly after seeing my RF Punch HX2 8's. However he is not able to buy a pair for himself as they seem extremely scarce to find anywhere so he went with SA-8's; and now he is talking all kinds of non-sense saying his SA-8's would put my RF 8's to shame. I don't want to blow or even torture these subs by dignifying his gibberish talk so the closest I'll come to blowing his 8's out of the water with mine is to get some experienced advice. Thank you ahead of time
P.S. While typing this question, I Thought of 1 more things I'll add to this topic. Does or did RF ever make a re-cone kit for this cute little monster? Or would I have to re-cone with 1 of the newer P series re-cones if I ever did use these and ended up blowing one or something stupid? I'm thinking P2 would be the closest to this model and mechanical specs? Again, Thanks ahead of time for the help/Advice. Much appreciated Have a great night and a wonderful day

I wasn't even aware that RF made a P3 8" sub. Are they basically equal to the Punch HX2 8"?
