HI, are you counting down the days? I know I am....91days...3 weeks down!  10 more weeks to go!!!

Somehow, the phone call even though its read and scripted...made me realize ..he is reaching a goal he has dreamed about since he was 15. I remember the recruiters visiting with my son, he was on the edge of his seat and listened intently.  It wasn't about the money, or benefits, it was more than that ....it was the feeling that one person could become a part of elite team of people dedicated to serving and protecting our freedom.

Our High School honors veterans with a worship service filled with music from the concert band and choirs. During that service, people from all ages and all different branches of military backgrounds~ would stand up during their military theme song. Old men who fought in WWII, the injured, those who just started, and no matter what age or branch of service...it was a day filled with respect and awe at the incredible gift these individuals make...I look forward to seeing my son's face again, this time it will be the face of a young Marine.
