Description: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the 2011 release in the best-selling Call of Duty First-Person Shooter action series. The game is a direct sequel to the previous game in the series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with a campaign storyline continuing the struggle of U.S. forces against an invasion by the Russian Federation following the framing of an undercover U.S. agent in a terrorist attack on Moscow. Along with classic Call of Duty multi-character control, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 contains deep multiplayer support, including two-player Co-op Survival mode. The game also contains all-new Kill Streak categories and customizable strike packages that offer more options for player combat styles and strategies.



Modern Warfare 3 opens at the end of Modern Warfare 2 with the US fighting Russian forces on the ground in America. Vladimir Makarov is back, and Captain John “Soap” MacTavish and Captain John Price are wounded and “on the run” with Russian informant Nikolai. The trio is hiding out in a safehouse in Dharmasala, India, where they are attacked by Makarov’s men, where players will take on the role of Yuri, a loyalist who works for Nikolai. As the safehouse becomes compromised, the men flee in a helicopter.

HOW TO PLAY: SPEC-OPS with Tunngle or Hamachi

Install Modern Warfare 3 (Clean Installation recommended)
Don't apply any fixed files and Updates
Download and Install .Net Framework 4.0:

Join the Modern Warfare 3 Coop network
Run the "TeknoMW3.exe" and select your Nickname
CLIENT: Enter the Host-IP, press "Start Game" and Ingame press "Multiplayer"
HOST: Select "I'm the host", press "Start Game" and Ingame press "Multiplayer"
Ask in the chat for Hosting-IPs (Tunngle)

TeknoMW3 - FAQ
1. You receive an application error after clicking start game.

    Cause: You are missing the ID key value pair in the teknogods.ini file.
    Resolution: Manually create the key value pair in the teknogods.ini file.
        i. Open the players2 folder in the game installation folder.
        ii. Look for the most recently modified file with the .stat extension.
        iii. Copy the last 8 digits of the filename. Default 00010000
        iv. In the installation directory, open the teknogods.ini file.
        v. Create a new line under the name key and add ID=######## (Where ######## is the 8 digits you copied from the filename).


2. You start the game as a client, click multiplayer , and it hangs at Joining Game Session.

    Cause 1: You are using Teknogods MW3 Loader v1.0 or v1.1 and are attempting to connect to a host with an IP address outside of the following range: 170.*.*.*.* - 230.*.*.*
    Resolution 1: Join to a host within the range, change your LAN IP scheme, create a private VPN or PPTP tunnel, or wait for the fix.

    Cause 2: You are not forwarding the ports required for connectivity.
    Resolution 2: Enable port forwarding for UDP 29184.

    Cause 3: You are not using the correct format for IP entry.
    Resolution 3: You need to pad each octet with preceding zeros to make each three digits.
        Examples
            170.1.1.100 becomes 170.001.001.100
            200.10.5.20 becomes 200.010.005.020


3. You receive the error "Unable to connect to Special Ops host because they're not currently disconnected and listening for co-op connections".

    Cause: Both computers have the same ID value in the teknogods.ini file.
    Resolution: Manually change the value on one of the computers. (Example: ID=00010001)


4. When starting the Teknogods MW3 Loader you receive the error "Please move me to the games main folder".

    Cause 1: You do not have the loader in the correct directory.
    Resolution 1: Move the loader and accompaning files into the same folder as iw5sp.exe

    Cause 2: You downloaded a scene release and have not followed their directions.
    Resolution 2: Go back and follow the directions.

TeknoMW3 - how to make it work.
LISTEN UP!

It works.

Current setup:

1. TeknoMW3 1.0 Hotfix. Probably will work WITHOUT hotfix.
3. IP range, and I can't stress this enough, MUST be between 170.0.0.0 and 230.0.0.0.
4. IP needs to be entered in a specific format: 000.000.000.000 This means that 192.168.0.10 should be entered as 192.168.000.010 in the launcher.
5. Windows 7 Basic color scheme.

This means that, Hamachi and other easy setup VPNs will not work!

Patch for 3. is in the works.

This will work for:

1. LAN with IP in the above range
2. Direct IP in the above range

If you don't understand this switch off your computer and go outside and wait for the bugfix. It will be healthier for you. Or even better - buy the game.
