Yes! I own this CD and I agree it's some of the best DM to come out this year by far.. well, alongside Impetuous Ritual and Father Befouled of course. |

Really? I liked parts of it. The orchestral parts are the strongest parts on it imo. |

I have ony listened to the first 5 songs. So far yes, I really like how the Orchestral parts blend in with the music, the structure remonds me a lot of Puritanical, but some of the melodies are very much In Sorte like. You can tell the thought process was much deeper on this album than the previous 2. |

Check them out, nao!
This d00d **** gets it.
Except for the "released this year" part...
Only one of those was released this year, and three of them are from 15+ years ago. |

Never could enjoy Father Befouled. I bought an album from them along with the Vomitous Ritual (I think that's the name of that side project, don't have the tape on me to be sure) and didn't like either very much. Maybe I'm just picky. Impetuous Ritual is immense. |

OFFLINE | Ok, So I got every 2010 albums mentioned in this thread plus the ones i already have that makes it 24 so far. There are still a good amount of albums due for release this year ( Deathspell Omega, Aborym, Einherjer, Carpathian Forest...Maybe, Thorns, Krieg, God Dethroned, Gris, etc etc...). right now, only Dark Fortress has really perfomred high. Good efforts by Enslaved and Burzum (A lot of people expected him to totally fail) and too many disappointments (Melechesh, Keep of Kalessin, Drudkh, Temnozor and Rotting Christ). |

Yeah, a few people I talked to or read reviews from say they're not too keen on Father Befouled either and I think it's because they sound way too much like Incantation and therefore they find them to be too much of a 'rip off' band I suppose. If that's the case then I can totally understand that but then again if you think about it, there's been a ton of Incantation knock offs lately like Ignivomous and a few others lately, of which tend to get rave reviews. Go figure! lol |

The irony is great then when I can not enjoy Incantation, yet love Vasaeleth who are heavily influenced by them. Go figure indeed. |
