Hey I am bringing a meal to a friend who just had a baby and was looking for something that is fun, kid friendly and easy to take to someone. It can be either something like a take-bake or something that is ready to be severed. Thanks ladies for your help with this.

For kid friendly, I've found that simpler is better. So lagagna is always a good one to take to someone. Also, a macaroni N cheese bake would be good (you can find good recipes for those online), pizza is always a good one (you could put the pizza together and take it over to their house to bake). Speghetti with garlic toast is easy and everyone loves it. French dips are always good, most kids tend to leave out the au jus sauce but the adults love it, beefed up grilled cheese is fun, you can add anything to grilled cheese to make it a little more special (meat, tomatos, bacon, whatever else you can think of) and serve up some soup with it (chunky veggy soup is easy and not expensive at all). Meatloaf and mashed potatos and corn is usually a favorite. Or you could go the other way and do breakfast burritos, or something for a breakfast-dinner (I like breakfast more for dinner anyway). Hope this gives ya some ideas

Thanks Summer for all the great ideas! I ended up making baked ziti. It is very easy to make and also very easy to double so I made a batch for my friend and a batch for dinner.

Pastas are easy and yummy.  However I've that most people bring pasta and it can get repetitive if you are the one receiving the meals.  I now opt to make a green salad (or buy salad mix) and a rotisserie chicken.

That it a great idea Bridjett! The rotisserie chicken from Costco is so cheap too!
