Hi, I recently had my 6 mos. check up and it revealed a Calcium level of 10.4  My doctor suggested we watch it.
After finding your website I called and requested additional testing.  I was told that I did not need to fast and anytime was fine, so I was there at 2pm. I now realize I should have been fasting and also it should have been early a.m. Nonetheless, I received my test results yesterday and I am confused.  

Ionized Calcium is 5.0
Calcium                9.8

PTH Intact with Calcium shows
PTH                     28
Calcium               10.6

My doctors comments: results are normal

Is it the Ionized calcium that counts?  

Do I have a parathyroid tumor?
