I dunno ... when I am pregnant, I develop gestational diabetes.  I can recall having a few episodes like that where I knew in my head what I wanted to say but the words came out all jumbled.  I think something similar might be happening to her or a stroke.  I hope she's ok.

SERENE BRANSON may have suffered a stroke during a live broadcast at the Grammy Awards yesterday (13th February 2011).

SERENE BRANSON, the Los Angeles reporter, may have suffered a stroke during a live broadcast outside the Staples Centre last night, reports the New York Daily News. Branson was introducing the highlights and backstage coverage from the awards show when she began to slur her words and her speech became incomprehensible. After struggling for almost ten seconds, the video cut away to some pre-recorded Grammy coverage. Cbs 2 News initially remained quiet on what had happened to Branson but eventually released a statement that read, "Serene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning". Branson is an Emmy Award nominated journalist who previously worked for KCAL 9 in Sacremento.

Kim Baldonado, an Nbc reporter in Los Angeles wrote on her Twitter page, "Sending my best to Serene Branson that she's ok. It doesn't sound like it's anything to laugh about".
