Check out the video at microsoftpdc.com/Sessions/SVC51. This is a very good session that lets you know all you need to know about running PHP, MySQL on Windows Azure.

There are also other resources available such as how to use the Windows Azure tools for Eclipse, installing the Windows Azure SDK, among other things in the Resources section. conf.oss.my/mtc/index.php?option=com_con...p;id=8&Itemid=14

Other resources:
There are a number of projects that enable PHP development for Windows Azure. These are the projects you MUST download and check out:
1.     Windows Azure Tools for Eclipse – www.interoperabilitybridges.com/projects...re-tools-for-eclipse
2.     Windows Azure SDK for PHP - www.interoperabilitybridges.com/projects...dk-for-windows-azure
3.     Windows Azure command-line tools for PHP - www.interoperabilitybridges.com/projects...d-line-tools-for-php
4.     AppFabric SDK for PHP - www.interoperabilitybridges.com/projects/appfabric-sdk-for-php
5.     Windows Azure MySQL PHP Solution Accelerator - code.msdn.microsoft.com/winazuremysqlphp, presentation/demo session @ microsoftpdc.com/Sessions/SVC51
6.     Windows Azure Forum – go to social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsazure/threads, search for PHP

Dear all,

How long does the DNS TTL of the Azure service? I created a new service on it yesterday, and my domain (bazar.cloudapp.net) is still mapped into 0.0.0.0.

Hi,

From my test its took around 5 minutes after initialization of your apps (only 1st time) in the cloud. For the update/upgrade no need to wait, your DNS will work right away. You need to check.

Thanks Amir. You want to share with us the step by step approach on how you did it? Maybe Aprian can take the cue from there and relay back what he did. then we can identify what went wrong.

Cheers

Another question did you upload your apps? after upload you need to initialized or start the instance. If you just create the domain, it wont work without uploading your apps for first time. It is suggest to test with Hello world page.

For me I will test all the development in the development fabric and only upload once everything is working.

my two cents

Admin,

Yes I'm here to share. Well, the relevant document can be downloaded from here:

www.msdev.com/Directory/Description.aspx?eventId=1811
cdn.msdev.com/assets/PHP_on_Windows%20Az...rt_Guide_032510.docx

I think if you all follow the steps in that particular document, you will run php in windows azure without any problem. Just follow the steps, will ya..

cheers...

Thanks in advance.

knightdna, i suspect your app was not deployed properly, and this could be due to any of the reasons that Amir stated. could you please attach a screen clipping of your azure portal so that we all can take a look what's missing?
