To improve junior development will take much more than just the improved facilities.... Football is being run like a business in our region, yet we are forgetting the fundamental principal of business.... to be successful you need satisfied customers!!!
Not only do we need facilities, but we need football to be more accessible. I completely understand that money needs to be in place to run certain programs, but why are we so reliant on revenue from participation rather than focusing on commercial and federal investment? Until we are seen as an investment, football will continue to struggle!
At the moment we are seeing too many players slip through the cracks, simply because they cannot afford the "privilege" of playing rep football. At the same time, we are seeing completely legitimate football service providers being shunned by our associations rather than being embraced. Let me just say that some of us are not in it for the money, some of us really want to see football move forward in this country.
If football is to succeed the accessibility is the key.... this applies to accessibility to services, accessibility to information, accessibility to development and accessibility to facilities....

Lets not forget that innocent but strong notion we all went into football with.... We wanted to take our LOVE for what we did to make an impact as a player or a coach in this beautiful game!

my 2 cents....

Yes i think and agree that State Funding would be more the avenue to get funding into the code that has so many people are participating in.
Then Questions maybe should be asked since was the unification of the FSC to enable this to proceed and streamline funds to the code via council pressing the issue with the state goverment.

Corporate Funding is an additional avenue to recieve some backup but the primary funds required should come from the State funding or federal funding sources ,
remember my understanding of this it People as in numbers should equate to funds being accessible to all the clubs in the region to enable better facilities for the most participated sport,

But what has actually been acheived in this area ?  as i Dont see any Progress , i think its more called stagnation , Politics is a numbers game, and those with the numbers usually get the funding ,
time for a change and make people accountable for lack of support to our code ,
ie the politicians that shun the code for one reason or another ,

Let the kids play the sport be developed and time to get council FSC and the politicians to provide the funding for the facilities needed . but i do agree with you 100% and its a good 2 cents you provided , thanks for that important input,

Football struggles because we have allowed it to happen and time is now to make a move and stand for whats rightfully meant for (Football - soccer) in this region.. our children have been snubbed the rights to have facitilites that match ones provided to other codes , enough is enough , Illawarra Needs to Stand tall and demand changes.. not be asking ,
