A long time friend was about to join my newly formed forum and she sent me a message that there is one part requiring her to release all information on her and HER FRIENDS. Her comment was "That is unacceptable!" I am fully aware that Face Book has information on she and me and our friends, but the wording truly bothered her. Can you provide an "acceptable" explanation for the wording or change it?

Wait, you mean the screen we see and have to agree to before using any and every Facebook App?  When I signed up in Oct/Nov the forum didn't require us to give permission to release all information on me and my friends, but it does ask for things like the ability to post to her/your wall (so when you create a topic you have the option of posting it to your wall to tell your friends to come read it etc). Honestly, if you/she has any privacy concerns at all Facebook itself is the LAST website you should ever want to be a member of. Seriously.

This forum, which is is only a Facebook Application and not an actual part of Facebook, is one of the better Apps out there. It asks(ed) for the basic Facebook App permissions and actually serves a real purpose, instead of it just telling me how blonde I am, what I'd be if I wasn't a human or who my top followers were.

I'm just a user, I have no affiliation with this App. But as a user who reads my permission screens, I had to agree to the same permissions that she would have and so would have you-do you remember giving away all of you and your friends info?

Perhaps you could post verbatim what the permission asked/how it was phrased that made her feel like the forum was asking her to release all of her and her friend's information.
