OFFLINE | i recommend you not to try this : ))) sure they can eat anything it's inside the tank if it hasnt reached its 2nd level yet!! but to be honest with you i have never tried it ,as i dont want to risk my diamonds 
i suggest you to let it grow in a second tank and when it will have reached its 2nd level, then you can move it to the tank you want it be!!
